King Octopus game online play is built on a cannon-aiming system. Your cannon is positioned at a fixed point on the screen. Each time you fire, a bullet travels in the direction the cannon is aimed, traveling until it hits a fish or reaches a screen edge — at which point it bounces and continues traveling until it connects with a target.

Tap or click anywhere on the screen to fire your cannon toward that position. The cannon rotates to face the tap point before firing. Adjusting the cannon direction after a bullet has been fired does not change that bullet's trajectory — each shot travels independently on the path set at the moment of firing. This means precise tap placement matters more than rapid clicking.
Bullet Physics and the Bounce Mechanic
Every bullet that reaches a screen edge without hitting a fish will bounce off that edge and continue along a reflected path. This bounce mechanic enables angled shots that reach fish near the edges or directly behind other creatures. Experienced players use the bounce deliberately — banking shots off one edge to reach targets that are difficult to hit directly.
Auto-Shoot and Locked Target
Auto-Shoot allows continuous firing without repeated taps — the cannon fires automatically at a set interval toward the current aim point. Lock Target fixes the cannon on a specific creature and automatically tracks it as it moves across the screen, maintaining a consistent firing direction. Both features are useful for sustained boss battles where breaking targeting focus is costly. Auto-Shoot can be combined with Lock Target to enable hands-free continuous fire on a tracked creature.
